I know Jimnys can get a bit rusty when they get on but what about on a Gen 4? It's probably not much,  just  a bit on the surface, but does anyone else have any rust on their Gen 4 chassis. There appears to be a bit around the mountings in front of the rear wheel?

All the running gear on mine was covered in surface rust. Not really something to be concerned about, but I treated it anyway. Painted on Hammerite Kurust then Lanoguard grease over the top.

That looks well. Did you just crawl underneath and brush it on?

The rust i had noticed was on the painted chassis near the mounting points.for the body.

Stuck it on axle stands at one end, removed the wheel for the corner I was working on and was able to reach most of it that way, although did need to shimmy under the car for some of it.

My chassis was Dinitrol coated early in life, so hopefully no rust there (or if there is some, I can't see it!).
