Camping/laning 2011 was created by Gromit
Just putting the feelers out to see if there would be any interest for camping/laning weekends in 2011. I have organised 3 of these this year, Derbyshire(Buxton), North Yorkshire(Robin hoods bay) and Yorkshire Dales(Sedbergh). I also did one to Shell Island in Wales last year which was a great weekend.
The group I normally hang about with seem to be loosing interest and 2 have sold their 4x4's with a further 2 not interested anymore.
The usual format is to arrive on the Friday,(I go when I finish work at 1pm but some don't arrive till late in the evening) then go laning on the Saturday with a BBQ in the evening then a leisurely Sunday morning to pack up and depart home.
Most sites only charge about 5 or 6 pound a night so it's not an expensive weekend. As I said just putting out feelers to see if ther would be any interest.

Camping weekends sound like a good idea once summer has returned.

I'd be interested in and around the peak district - nothing too hardcore just yet - still running standard

Usually do one sometime after Easter, then one in June/July and then one in mid September. I don't mind the cold as I have a large gas cooker and a gas heater

Nearly all the lanes I do on my Derbyshire run are fairly easy.
