Jimny & Vitara Brezza was created by lookonimages
We have had the Suzuki vitara brezza released in SA.
They say it has same engine as jimny. I believe this brezza have much better gearing for driving highways.
Now my question. What is your opinion on fitting the Brezza gearbox onto a jimny. Sure as hell there would be a huge ref drop in 5th gear making high way driving much nicer. 500-800 revs down in 5th gear would be nice, but then my area is most flat)
(Those of us using the jimny 98% time comuting and 2% offroading)
Your opinions

l guess it would be an improvement on flat roads, but the little N/A 1.5 Jimny motor might struggle on hills with such a high gear.
Ours is great at 65mph l am not sure l would want to cruise at much higher speeds than that in a Jimny.

Isn't the Vitara Brezza a transverse engine front wheel drive/all wheel drive vehicle? Typically those will have a transaxle rather than the separate transmission, transfer case & axle setup that the front engined, rear wheel drive Jimny has.
A transmission swap will not be a quick & easy task.
