Steering wheel off centre

The steering wheel isn't quite central when driving on a straight road on our 2020 Jimny

l assume it's an easy job to alter it, as on my Land Rover Defender it's just a case of adjusting the steering arm a little bit to centre the wheel.

Yes same principle. I really need to do mine but I keep waiting for the weather and then other things need doing.

Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
R.E.D Retired Extremely Dangerous
Bellerophon (2024 grello van) daily dose of disappointment.

Yes the beauty of the steering box design is that steering wheel alignment can be adjusted independantly from the tracking, so it is an easy DIY job.

If you've been off road, just have a look under the front, I bent the drag link on mine and that puts the steering wheel off centre. I think the drag link is made of unused humphrey milk straws from the 70's (one for the teenagers), I've strengthened mine with angle as it just keeps happening.

It might be made like that intentionally so it bends in an impact, rather than something more expensive being damaged.
