Hi Folks.

Use my Jimny to tow a gang mower so slow and very hot (under bonnet not coolant). Lately I've had the immobiliser light come on and the car stalling. Will restart then flickering light, stuttering and stalling engine.

No I've seen Crank and Camshaft sensors flagged as possible but would they make the immobiliser light come on?

If not that then communication between key and receptor ? What part do I need;-)

That will be your crank position sensor. It's behind the alternator. A new one is usually about £40 and takes 30 minutes to replace. I'm sure Martin has them in the BigJimny store.
What sort of gang mowers are you towing? I use mine for the same.

That is just scary - identical to mine and I tow old LLoyds mowers on our campsite in Brittany www.campingdegouarec.co - it's a big site and without the Jeep and the gang I'd be stuffed. people love them as they are almost silent and the french have seen nothing like them!
