        Why not trying to repare what you have?
A 20 year car sure have rusty parts - but they can be fixed.

        Thanks for the advice. All replies advise keeping my motor and having it repaired . I will look at the repair option. Sounds like that could be the better option. The vehicles I looked at had all failed MIT's several times for excessive corrosion despiteite being 5 years younger than mine. One reply names a suzuki specialist not to far from me who I will visit and get a quote. Many thanks again.

        That's some repair !  Will get quotes for my motor to be repaired. Is your motor back on the road now ?
