I live in SA, and I have a 2010 Jimny - 1.3. Recently I went to the shop with her, and on returning to the car she wouldn't start. The immobiliser light keeps flashing, but the engine turns over.
Took it in and had the keys reprogrammed, as this was one of the suggestions. Still no go. Next the auto electricians. Been there for a week now and they are saying that the signal is being lost between the immobiliser and the ECU. They reckon that the only solution is to either buy a new ECU and get it programmed again, or send the existing one away to see if it can be repaired. Has anyone experienced this problem, and if yes, how was it fixed.
