Help with bypassing the vacum system. was created by gazert
I need some expert help from my more knowledgable jimny pals,
I have replaced the vacum hubs with AVM manual freehubs.
I knew this would make the green light on the dash flash.
As I have the push button 4L system I now have to fool the system into thinking that the vacum hubs are engaged.
Can I re route the vacum pipes to fool the sensor or is the little vacum switch with the filter able to be shorted to fool the sensors?
Help please.
Ta in advance,
Gaz
Sorry I should have put this in tech.
If anyone can move it to tech please do so.

just block the pipes that come away from the vacum solinoids, thats all I have done. I put a nicely fitting screw into the tubes and taped them up.

I have the push button 4wd selector. The solinoids and pipes are the same as the models with selector stick. Block the pipes at the main solinoid on the drivers side under the bonnet and all your flashing light problems will go away. Jamie showed me what to do as his is the same set up. Two screws are all you need to block the flexible pipes. I think they are about M5.gazert wrote: Do you have the push button 4L system?

can you not get into the dashboard console and remove the bulb? then you can remove all the unwanted bits.
