Brake Warning Light was created by blondedynamo
Hi all,
I'm new to this website but I've had my 2002 Jimny for just over a year now.
My brake warning light stays on from time to time. Ive checked the brake fluid, that's fine and wiggled the sensor wire about a bit. I'm struggling to find out if there are sensors on my brake pads.
It is a Jimny JLX Auto Estate 1328CC
Does anyone know please?

It's not uncommon for a bit of metallic debris to find it's way into the hand brake switch assembly causing a short. Coins out of pockets are a favourite.

Thanks Yakusa, I hadn’t thought of the handbrake, I don’t generally use it, maybe I need to, it might dislodge something.

Welcome to the forum. Best if you can remember to use the technical forum for these sort of problems as the Chat is for general stuff.
