Hi all when I put my jimny in to 4x4 the gear stick is jumping around and the light is flashing what could be the problem with it thanks Mick

J999 MNY, ULYSSES M18 VVT with ITB's Dyno tested at 130hp
Pickup/tipper, R7me gearbox & 6.4 Rocklobster, 31" Toyo MT, 2x ARB air locker 3.9 diffs in braced axles, 6" total lift, Floating rear conversion, Raptor painted, CB, Recaro's, Caged, etc, etc...

could be a multitude of things there.
Obvious place to start is the transfer box and front prop (if its only when in 4x4 then the front prop is probably the culprit).
Im guessing that the front prop has blown a UJ, probably at the t-box end. Take it off to check, not obvious when on the car sometimes. UJ should move freely and not be loose or notchy. There's grease nipples which need grease when servicing, but is usually skipped.

Have you got a body-lift fitted?
I’ve seen the rubber boot pull the stick out of ‘gear’ before now...?
Edit : thinking about it some more - as a quick trial, take the rubber boots off and try it without...?
