Hi there, not that the Jimny is loud at the moment but I am wondering whether it would benefit from a layer of dynamat or similar? I'm not certain i will do it yet but I would appreciate it if anyone has done it what sort of cost did you incur and more importantly did you find it made a difference in the dB's? Cheers.

I stuck some all over when I had my seats and side panels off to fit rear speakers it does make a bit of difference in my opinion when the side panels are off you can get some right into the rear arches I got a pack of it off amazon it stuck well and moulders round lumps and bumps easily enough not that expensive I'll try and see if it's in my order history

I'll second that it makes a fair improvement. i used a roll of 3mm sticky laminate flooring underlay foam stuff from the orange diy shop :-) £49 and ive got enough left over to do a second layer around the noisy bits. probs not as good as the dynamat but a lot cheaper!

Trim clips are fragile so worth getting some spares.

Daniel

I thought about doing this as well but was concerned about the mat possibly holding moisture against the panel. Has your experience shown this not to be an issue? No problems would be good news.

I started out with nothing & still have most of it left
