looking to go Salisbury plain properly on a weekend, wheres the best place/area to start from? ill be coming from Bristol

Im up there this weekend I would help u with directions but be no point your get lost any way and nothink will make any sence the place is massive with lanes going everywere and not all your aloud on hope you have a os map or similar and good map reading skills some junction you come to theres going to be 7-8 turnings no signs only galf of them are shown on map its good fun if you do stray and get cought dont believe to much of the talk about jeeps getting crushed its mainly bullocks just be nice show you have a map and say your lost cause you got confused. And have fun its a great place

iv brought a o/s landranger map of the Plain so that should give me a rough idea. iv got basic map skills but hey if i get lost i get lost right? just not 100% sure on where to start that was all. i did go down last weekend but just before we got there my mates clutch in his vitara went so didn't even get to the plain!

Start over your side of the plain and end up near tidworth loats of good lanes about that area but be carefull not to stray on to the tank playing part with the massive hills and troffs I have in the past been sneacky but mainly on a bike as you can sneack off again I wish I knew how to drew some spots on a map some how on line but dont know how I know most of the best bits on the byways

iv got a few bits and bobs ordered for the jim as we speak new bushes for the radius arms and protection plate for the arms, heavy duty transfer case mounts etc, when its all fitted on and im off work on a weekend i think i will definitely be going down by the sounds of you guys sounds really good!
