towbar electric socket. was created by jonesyba420
im thinking of getting a tow bar mainly for recovery and im wondering where people put the socket? i do quite abit of laning so getting it out of harms way is a priority, im thinking of mounting it inside one of the little cubby holes in the boot....................has anyone done this?

dont really want to mount it on the rear door as i think it looks abit nasty, and as im not planning to tow much if anything it'll be nice if its hidden.

Mines tucked up under the bumper after it fell off the original mount.

I had one in my old freelander on a flying lead that I used for bike rack lighting board. there's sufficient gap in the door seals of any landrover product for a 7 way trailer cable (or a bus for that matter) :)

Not quite sure what you mean by "flying lead"?

I just think the cubby hole lends itself well to hiding a socket plus its out the way of water mud etx and its not cluttering up the rear end B)
