In the market for a new power washer for the Jim after the cheapie Powerbase motor burnt out after many years of sterling service. Always believed in spending less that £40 but maybe thinking bigger this time!
Old one was 100bar but looking at a Wolf 135 bar for £85 or a silverline 165bar for £120
Does anyone have any recomendations?
Cheers,
John.

I've got a Hilka 135ps (which they've now stopped making). As Steffan said, you don't really need to overdo the pressure, a neighbour borrowed mine and stripped the paint off his wife's mint (or so he thought) XR3.

Now stop laughing, I managed to walk away with a straight face (for about 3 mins).

There's also a winch for sale that has a pressure washer built in. Just connect to water and away you go.
Mmm... 500 gallon tank in the back of the Jim so you can wash the muck off before going home via the Queens Highways.

LoL !

I have a Karcher K6.85. After years of various cheaper ones I went for it but you know what, I am not impressed. I had to change the gun with the trigger not long ago; I think the pressure was just too much. At least spares are available. I can't say the extra pressure is that noticeable. To me a washer should be able to blast off grime like on the back of wheels and this does no better than a cheapie. In short get a good cheaper one and save your money unless you must have Karcher. ;)
