Braided brake hoses was created by Obarno
Is it ok to use a brake hose clamp on braided hoses? I need to change a calliper and its easier to just clamp the hose, but I'm worried it might damage the hose. The hoses I have are the non plastic coated ones, just a stainless mesh over a plastic hose.
Any thoughts appreciated.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

I wouldn't.
Either suck the fluid out of the reservoir and let the rest go, or make up a plug from a nut & bolt through the banjo, but really, it takes such a short time to swap the pipe over that it isn't worth bothering.
Don't forget to bleed the nipple on the compensator above the rear axle: it is in the front circuit.
EDIT: Just thought, you could get someone to press the brake pedal and hold it down whilst you do the swap, (undo the nipple and let the pedal sink down) that will stop the fluid draining from the master cylinder.
The reason not to clamp is the internal pipe may be permanently deformed, and you wont see with the braiding over it.

Blead the rear load compensator as its in the front circuit thats the first iv ever hurd of that how would that work then

Thanks for your advice. You're right really in that it doesn't take long to swap the banjo over. Hadn't thought about holding the brake pedal down - good advice. If I'm quick hopefully I will only have to bleed that calliper.

There is a pipe from the front circuit to the compensator, and a pipe from the rear circuit that goes through the compensator. (3 pipes in all)
When the axle goes down, the valve inside shuts off the through circuit for the rear pipe to the wheels. The front circuit goes there so if the front pressure fails, the valve stops working and you get brakes at the back. (Yes I know the back won't come up if the front brakes don't work, but that is what it is for)
Anyway, one front pipe goes there, and fluid can't get out anywhere, or mix between front & rear, so there is a bleed nipple for the front pipe as you can get an air bubble in that long pipe. The rear circuit just goes straight through, so can be bled at the wheels (or left hand wheel in our case)
