Hi Guys,
Where can I get a gerry can mount from ? and also a good roof/cargo basket ?
Im going away next year a trip all over the UK Yorkshire Dales etc and I want to be able to carry fuel etc just to be safe, I also want to mount a farm jack/high jack to the roof if possible.
I also want to add the Suzuki cargo grille and boot liner
An example
Any advice please would be great?

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Carrying petrol in cans is a bit of a legal minefield, the best advice is not to carry petrol outside the vehicle.
I do believe that the maximum size for a metal container is 10litres, so the traditional 20 litre jerricans are not actually suitable for petrol. In fact, I think it is illegal to fill them at a garage
Stick to a 10litre 1/2 jerrican inside.

And if you really want to use a Hi-lift on your Jimny you'd better have some aftermarket bumpers. I love my Hi-lift, but honestly, on the Jimny I use the standard jack that came with the car. Works like a charm, even with 31" tires. And I do have ORA bumpers front and rear and even build adapters to use the Hi-lift... And don't try to put too much heavy stuff (20l jerry cans come to mind) on your roof rack and go off roading with it. Could get ugly pretty fast...
Just my 2 cents
