Hello Jimnyers,
i'm in negotiations with a suzuki dealer in colchester for my first Jimny , i've been offered an 06 black/grey
with aircon thats done 90,000 its got full service history , bit of tax / mot , wondering what you guys and gals think to the price / longevity of this prospective purchase
for the price the aircon will be regassed / 12month non suzuki warranty / 4 tyres replaced , its in
good clean order , its just the 90k of drivetrain wear that concerns me , i do about 7000 miles a year at the moment, will be using it as my daily commute(7miles either way) and some off road ish excursions:)
theres a certain stigmatism attached to high mileage cars , but from what i've read jimnys are in
a class of there own for reliability,
any help or advise would be grateful

With FSH, i wouldn't worry as it's standard. Doesn't look like the interior has worn much, not that many jimny drivers worry about that. ;)
I didn't see the price there, only photo's?

If you need comparison i paid 6 months ago, £3650 for my 2002 02 Jimny soft top with about 35k on the clock. Standard, similar condition (apart from that awful roof  )

There are plenty on here with many more miles on than that, although they've lived more than one life with engines

AND aircon
my only aircon is to take the roof off!

Drivetrain wise, test it ;)

I'm such a numb hass lol , £4000 on the website , he's come down to £3675 , with the the bits that i first posted,
pretty sure its never been on more than rough tarmac(normal roads  ) had a good look underneath,
cant see any mud or vegetation hanging off anything , 1 previous lady owner from new,
i know as i was shown the v5, unfortunately couldn't test drive as it was boxed in by 10 cars !! but the engine sounded sweet on tickover and rev up :)

caution - if the car was OK, he could have soon enough unboxed it for a test drive - suspicions straight away
