The (1998-2005) 5dr grand vitara is 1850kg and 3dr is less, so the vitara will be lower but slightly more than the jimny.
Not a tow car for much more than a small trailer in my opinion.

The handbook also states 1450kg but the Suzuki towbar does use an additional two long bolts that go up through the chassis - that makes it much stronger than the cheap type that just has the two bolts on either side.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.
