Got the Jimny going in for a service and Mot next month and I'm wondering if it's worth having them change the gearbox/transfer box/diff oils (or at least check them) ?
Car is a 1999 model so the gearbox/xfer box/diff oils could potentially be many years old.

And yes, I could do it all myself but I can earn more than it costs doing overtime and I don't end up freezing cold with grazed knuckles and oily clothes.

Changed all my fluids at the start of this month. It's running much smoother now and the gear box is less notchy. Think the service interval on g/box, t/box and axles is every 20k miles.

Its not a pleasant job as gearbox and diff oil stinks! If you chose to do it yourself be sure you can remove filler plugs before draining and be prepared for the diff drain nuts to be jammed! Mines a 2001 model and the rear diff drain proved especially problematic to get out. Ended up using heat and hammering in a larger diff drain tool than its designed to take to get it out. Needless to say it was well butchered so had to be replaced.

With this weather I would be tempted to pay someone!
