are the 2 metal brackets for the rear or front and were do the round plastic dowel bits go ta,its for the genuine jimny ones.

The brackets are for the back. I suspect the plastic dowels are for the fronts, the backs on mine are attached by bolts.

I don't have any metal brackets on mine.
Did you buy these off eBay? I saw some on there with a metal bracket and wondered what it was!

Fronts screw to the wheel arch and then are supposed to be pop rivet'd on at the bottom, which i replaced with a bolt as rivets tend to be a fit once thing.
The nylon tube is for the fronts and spaces the bottom of the flap off the inside on the arch.

Rears screw into the wheel arch in 3 or 4 places.

Hard to explain... i looked for my instructions last night for you, but couldn't find them :(
