www.morrislubricantsonline.co.uk/lodexol...thetic-gear-oil.html

Quoted as being suitable for API GL 1-5 (guessing because its SS?)
It can also replace 80W 90 in the diffs!

Don't buy off that site... they are hugely expensive compared to my local seller

GL-4 oil is the correct oil for the T-box. But you can easily use GL-5 for the transferbox as well. No trouble with that. I do it my-self.

 Not know the cause
Write it to not forget

I entirely agree not to confuse oil GL4 with GL5, are totally different

The article or Richard Widman is perfect. thank you

I read it in Spanish in www.widman.biz/ .

Gus, where have I written that gl5 is the same as gl4?

Only thing I wrote is that gl5 is fine for tbox. And it is so because there are no synchromeshes or any other brass parts like in the gearbox. Gl5 contains additives that have a negative impact on the synchromesh.

So again, gl5 is fine for t-box.
Oh, and all this is also found in you widman link.

Sorry Tom, I may not express properly (in English is difficult for me  )

The t-case have brass synchromesh’s, it´s allowing connect front axle without stopping the car.

I modify my t-case, this demand and effort to satellites for which they were not designed. In this case use gl-5 oil. I prefer satellites long life at the expense correct synchromesh’s operation.

thanks
