I am thinking of buying a front winch ORA mount for £85, it fits behind the standard bumper and it says no welding is necessary however does that mean ill have to drill holes in the chassis for it? Or are the holes already there? I have a standard 2001 jimny by the way.

I noticed these winch mounts the other day after I'd already made a winch mounting plate to fit perfectly in the space and attached the winch you will need to drill the chassis to attach it or you could try welding it? Mines bolted on with 4 m10 bolts to the chassis ill get some pics if it stops raining as I need another bolt in to support the brackets a bit more before I do more playing with trees and the winch

Hi guys
Yep you do need to drill new mounting holes for it to bolt on.
We have had acouple of customers in Austraila report that it does fit with air conditiong. But we have not personally test fitted one to an A/C'd Jimny ourselves. I have looked at a 2012/13 model myself and I do think it would fit with about 2mm to spare. But until we have checked ourselves we don't want to advertise is is a straight fit.
Worst case you could fit a slimmer A/C fan, as the factory Suzuki A/C fan is huge.
