Jimny's are a little different in their design Chris as the leaf springs on an SJ locate the axle. Obviously coil springs can not do this to they have radius arms and panhard rods to do it.

When lifting the radius arm is lower at resting height on a flat surface to the axle kind of stays turned in the arc of the suspensin travel - changing what is known as the castor angle of the axle. This makes the springs bend and also the steering feel light and not self centre.

We lift the Jimny by using longer springs, shock absorbers to suit the springs and longer brake hoses also.

To counteract the changein castor angle we use either castor correcting bushes in the radius arms on a 2" lift or castor corrected radius arms themselves for any lift more than 2".

One company that sells a kit including everything you might need in a suspension lift is Off Road Armoury.

It's not as cheap to lift a Jimny as it is an SJ as there are more components to change, but the ride is soooo much more comfortable.

Hope this helps and welcome along!

With a 2" lift you would be able to fit 235's. Depending on pattern.
I have 235/75/15 remoulds on a 40mm OME suspension lift. But these tyres are taller than non-remoulds, about 1,5-2".

I have some rubbing when driving offroad or too fast over speed bumps :-)
