I got one off Amazon. Can't remember exactly which one, but worth having a look - eBay is not always the cheapest place to buy.

I've got the Maxi Trip scan gauge that Martin has and keep it hard wired to my ECU. Not all OBDII readers work in Jimny's - don;t ask me why as I thought OBDII was supposed to work on all readers made for it and that was the point of it!
The extra benefit is that you can see what's going on - such as coolant temperature to the degree - so if it get's a few degrees hotter than usual, you notice straight away - not when it's boiled it's self up and the car's gauge decides to catch up.
It also has a volt meter for the battery on it, so if it goes much below 14.3v you know either the battery or the alternator are playing up - giving you the early heads up before it won't start on you!
The rest of the stuff on it is not much use but I like having it on for the peace of mind and the ability to be able to read codes straight away. Not that mine creates them really! Touch wood!
