What should I advertise my Jimny for??

Hey guys,

Sadly, due to losing my job I have to let the Jimny go

I obviously want to get as much as I can for it, but I want to advertise it for a realistic price. I'd thought I'd ask you fellas what you think it's worth, so here's the spec...

- '51 plate Jimny JLX.
- Mileage is only 61,500... It's the cam chain engine too.
- The suspension is lifted and it has 2" spacers, along with all-terrain tyres.
- Taxed until the end of August.
- MOT until October.
- New front discs and pads fitted about 5 months ago.
- I've personally changed the engine oil and filter, I've got the receipts somewhere lol.
- Basically it runs fine, and I wouldn't be selling it if I hadn't lost my job.

Bad points...

- Cosmetically it's a little bit scruffy, and the paint is in desperate need of a good polish!
- The vacuum hoses need replacing.
- The previous owned removed most of the interior plastics.

So, what do you reckon? I've loved owning it so I'm reluctant to let it go mega-cheap, especially with the mileage, tax and MOT all in its favour.

With the snow in the news now is the time to achieve the best price. I'd say put it on eBay and let the market decide the price. Also, and I don't want to sound harsh, but if the paintwork is in need of a good polish then why not go out, brave the cold and give it a good polish? Pretty obvious point to make, but the better you present your car the more you're likely to get for it. And if you do put it on eBay (or anywhere else for that matter) put some time and effort into writing a decent advert. Hope this helps and good luck with the sale.

the above advise sounds good to me if you put it on the bay, think of the price you think its worth, add a few hundred on to it and put it on with best offer. if its the one in your picture then its got to be over 1300? pictures would help us

Yeah I'll definitely be giving it a good clean-up before I advertise it, just kinda pointing out that the paintwork/bodywork isn't perfect.

I'm thinking of cashing the tax in before I sell it, as I don't think it'll help me get an extra £100 or so for the car.

I would stick something on this site first, give it a week then put it on eBay. Remember eBay take a % off you after the sale so you may get more on here.
