Cheers Reaper, this sounds a really good Jimny 'Top Tip'!

One question. Do I need to remove the lower front shock bolts? Seem to remember that it is close to the front of axle radius arm bolt.

Time permitting, I might get in the garage tomorrow to get them fitted.

Excellent tip! Will save me time and hassle. With a bit of luck should be able to do both in an hour.

Sounds like you are getting into the 80/20 Jimny scene.

Should be plenty cheap std steel Jimny rims about (either on here or ebay). Can't remember what tyres Mark runs on his Blue Jimny. I think they are Insa somethings (Turbos?) on standard rims and he uses solid wheel spacers. The tyres are 195 and pretty agressive and plenty of grip.

If I get chance I might take a few photos tomorrow of Reapers radius arm fitment tip.

Managed to find time to slide under the Jimny yesterday afternoon and switch over the front radius arms to a pair with Superpro correction bushes.

I followed Reapers advice and struggled a bit with the drivers side. Took me 1 hour 15mins. I was all set to take a few photos, but time was against me. The problem I hit was that the drop link from the anti roll bar got in the way of me refitting the bold. I suspect that perhaps the wheel chock had moved causing this issue. I nearly knackered the thread on the bolt. After a few choice swear words I finally managed to get it fitted by using a crow bar to leaver the front of the radius arm down, while using another crowbar to leaver the drop link forward.

I did start to think I would still be out in the dark doing the other-side, but that proved to be a breeze and the replacement was fitted in 20 mins.

Once I had removed the old radius arm. I fitted the rear of axle bolt first and then the front of axle. Lastly I fitted the body mount bolt.

My old radius arms had a thread holes on the drivers side to hold the hub vacuum hoses. The replacements did not have the threaded hole so tie wraps were used.

I steering does appear to be better, but as mentioned previously, I had got use to vagueness without the castor correction bushes.

I'll report back again once I driven the Jimny a bit more with the new setup.

Glad it went well mate , i didnt think of the bolts for the arb as i dont have one fitted lol
