Re-programming the Jimny Immobiliser/remote opener.

If you do need a new Transponder, they are only about $45 in Oz, not sure of price in UK.

Programming Transponder:

Leave one door open

Disconnect negative battery terminal, wait at least 5 seconds then re-connect
Within 20 second of re-connecting, put key in ignition then cycle the key from "ACC" to on position 20 times, then leave key in "Off" position after 20th turn
Jimny parkers will flash 20 times to indicate successful programming.

If this doesn't work, wait 5 seconds then turn the key from "Acc" to "On" 10 times, leave the key in "Off" position and wait 15 seconds then go through the 20 times thingy again.
The parkers will flash 20 times to indicate you've done the job. On the 20th flash of the parkers, press the button once on each immobiliser you have purchased, stolen or replaced the batteries in.
Turn the key to the "On" position to lok in and exit from the programming mode.

Hope this helps. I've done it nearly every year for the last 10 years as I lose my keys/battery goes flat or done something else stoopid

This is valid only for the stock remote locking module, I guess ?

And nothing to do with the car immobiliser (car keys without buttons, just security immobiliser).

It is for the Suzuki supplied immobiliser/remote lock/unlock. These are the Suzuki Dealership Instructions for Jimny Remote/Immobiliser 1998-2003.

I don't believe that they had those in Aus. The type that we have is only connected to the ECU and the transponder coil.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

That wasn't a very well woded post. In the UK, and in some other markets, during those years we had an immobiliser that worked with the ECU and used a chipped key, there was no connection to the central locking unit, no key fob or buttons on the key. I thought that was the one that Vaxxi was referring to?

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.
