Replacing the horn was created by happypig
Let's face it, the Jimny horn is a bit "limp" isn't it ?
So I'm thinking of fitting an air horn. I know that "colonel bogeys" aren't allowed but I think two tone horns are, as long as they sound together.
Anyone know if klaxon type horns like this are ok or banned :
cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370680940282

I think to pass the MOT it has to be a continuous tone.
I guess you could have it as a secondary horn?

I think, if you fit a more powerful horn, it will draw more current than the standard horn, so you won't get the full effect without adding a switched relay and uprated fused supply to the new horn.
A lot of motorcycle owners upgrade there horns and fit Stebel horns. I fitted one to the Jimny and got an improvement over standard horn, but not 139db!
