After reading Renard38's latest post ( www.bigjimny.com/index.php/forum/8-my-ji...imny?start=324#51504 ) about getting stuck in snow, and using his waffle board to get out (smaller board than normal by the looks) I started having a hunt around for something smaller to carry inside the Jimny.

Has anyone seen/used these: www.amazon.co.uk/Vehicle-Escaper-tractio...adders/dp/B004C1AI1E

Obviously they're not going to bridge anything, but for traction on a slippery surface, they may do the job.

They certainly do!

Shame I'm miles away from an Aldi!

Check out the bushranger XTrax_II. a bit pricey but look good.

I have a set of Maxtrax which are fantastic but a little large.

Sorry no links but apparently I'm sending spam

a good tip with them is if you tie some nylon rope to them and then to the car you can keep driving and drag them behind you till is ok to stop knowing
your not going to get stuck when you stop
