Recovered my neighbours MGZT last weekend after what i think is the Turbo spitting its guts out
just been asked if i would trailer it to the Garage for repair tommorow as its under some insurance warranty rubbish that will cover it up to £500.
And who is the Garage Halfords Autocentre  Now if you wanted a air freshner fitted maybe some wiper blades or at a push a battery then maybe but a turbo repair with all the ensuing damage that may have gone on i dont think so and as for where £500 will go towards a repair im suspecting not to far

yep but to no avail they didnt centralise the steering rack before they adjusted the tracking that was the problem i suspect as it may well have ment that they would of had to put the steering wheel straight after it had been tracked school boy error im afraid

My son came home from Uni a few wekends ago and said he'd like to take his car back with him while he got to a work placement, MOT was due up while he was away so I rang round and the only place I could get it in was Halfords Auto Centre. We checked it over - lights hand brake adjustment etc and tok it down Great news said the bloke it is half price-( usually a fore runer to being shafted for a ton of extras,) anyway car passed but the operative on the desk said the brakes were not working properly, "can't be too careful we can inspect and repair front pads for £30. ........."
We thanked them and a said we'd have a look when we got home, brakes are fine, not binding, plenty on pads
I think it is a common ruse to mumble something about brakes not working, panic, danger of loss of life etc and people must pay every time so messafge is Halfods is OK but beware of sales patter.
On the upside we picked up a full sert of shockers and springs taken off a low mileage car that was getting a lift done at a Halkrauds spot, the cunning operative took them home and whacked them on ebay
