If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

The increase happened when Y reg came in, mine is an X plate too, gets the twin cam engine and the cheaper tax.

It's a good incentive to keep your current Jimny as long as possible. Another thing I didn't know until recently is that all vehicles later than 2001 have to have a type approved cat which is about twice the price of the normal type.
I have a 53 plate so I'm on the £215 a year rate.

My t reg jimny is £135
My 56 plate subaru is £425 and I drive the jimny more probably.
It should be added to fuel prices then you pay for the miles you do.
Replace tax disc with insurance sticker, job done.

That was the original plan when fuel duty first came about, only problem being they never got round to abolishing the road tax (as it was called back then). There's plenty of duty on fuel now as it is without adding any more!j999pre wrote: ...It should be added to fuel prices then you pay for the miles you do...

yeah combining road tax with third party insurance provided by the guv, gets all the uninsured off the road and stops insurance companies taking the piss like mine.......!
£2450 PA due to the fact I lost my no claims after an accident involving a pedestrian than wasn't my fault and not having them protected.
