Hi doncarlyon,
I'm from the northeast, Newcastle upon Tyne.
I tried a bit of green laning a bit back up near Hexam. found it on an OS map and went looking for it and thought I had found it but when the track went right and the map said left I realized I was in some farmers field and not on a BOAT, I promptly turned around and left!
Other than that I've not been green laning since, plus my Jimny is standard.
What Green lanes up the northeast would you recommend for a novice in a standard Jimny?

Ive only been out green laning once and I was just following someone in a disco who has been doing it for years. You certainly wouldnt get up some of it in a standard one but some of it was fine, up near Blanchland.
Other than that, i think this Grasshill Causeway might be ok but im trying to find some pics / write-ups about it.
