Noticed last night on the way back in the dark that some of the buttons on the dash were not illuminated.
Rear heated window switch (little orange light comes on when you switch it on though)
Rear wiper and washer switches
Headlight level adjustment dial
Mirror adjustment switch
Just wondering if these light up in other peoples cars or not then I know whether to spend time investigating!
Okay so guessing some investigation required. Assume it is more likely to be blown bulbs rather than a fuse, especially as the heater control lights and fog light switch illumination is fine.
Can you just pop the switches out in the normal fashion?
I'm pretty sure all the controls in the centre console are illuminated, but the rear wash/wipe is on the left hand stalk... which i don't recall being anything more than painted on symbols :S
Also don't think the light leveling wheel or the mirror asjustment is lit.
Must be slight differences coming in through facelifts. Rear wiper is operated by a button to the right of the centre fans on my 1999.

I was also wondering if they should be? Mine don't light either!
