B) hi all new to this site so just stop by to put my first post on here bit about me had few sj's still got a road legal sj on 33 now looking to do a jimny that i just picked up :evil: stumbled across my frist problem need a new engine for the jimny its a y reg so got the old sj engine looking to fit 1.6 16v out of a vitara can some one steer me in the right direction or any recommendation to what will fit in the hole

hi there mate and welcome im quite new to all this jimny game but im starting to get there now. i think the baleno 1.6 engine fits straight in with a conversion plate that is available from the jimny shop on this site.

thanks james is that the same as the vitara engine ??? dos it use the same e.c.u and wiring do you have to drill the engine mounts

I'm not too sure about the technical side but iv read that's it's the most straight forward option. Hav a look through the old forums on here and it will answer all your questions mate. Iv just got a 2" lift kit which I'm fitting next weekend can't wait .
