One of our aircraft decided it was no longer going to provide boost on one engine. Turns out the turbine and compressor had stopped talking....

Turbine outlet is 65mm and the whole thing is about 200mm in diameter...... also somewhere in the region of 4k to replace

Nothing so exciting unfortunately. The engine it's off is 360 cubic inches and makes 220hp. The turbo itself only puts out around 5psi of boost governed by a hydraulic waste gate, however it can maintain the boost level to over 20,000 feet in altitude.11/60 wrote:
