Hi can anyone advise? on fleebay there is something I want that would come to a good few quid but I only use the debit card choice like when you click pay for item and the pay pal page loads but I don't have an account I click pay with debit card, the guy selling the gear has only sold 4 things and I know this doesn't make him dodgy as everyone starts somewhere but would my money be safe if he does a disappearing act after I click pay for item put the card details in?
Cheers Lorry.

I think ebay protects you and will get a refund for you.
Paypal is the safest method but if you cannot use it, pay by credit card as they have
on line protection for fraud and will refund you.
The guy may not have much history but as you said, everybody has to start somewhere.
