Around 06.30 this morning the missus said she had just seen a bunny hop past the front gate.
We know there are 2 of our neighbors that have rabbits so I popped out armed with a plastic laundry basket to capture the beast and hopefully return it safely before the screams of some distressed child woke the whole cule-de-sac up.
I checked under a few cars, then heard an almighty scuffle as something shot past me ....I was amazed to see a Hare sprinting down the street, boy are they fast.
I'm not aware of urban hares and can only assume that something's spooked/chased it from a couple of miles away and the critter has got seriously lost in it's escape.
it was a pretty surreal experience and made me smile.
