Suzuki swift sport m16a on a jimny was created by malrumeithi
hey guys I'm new to this forum and I would like some help on my project I have a non-vvi m13a jimny I would like to upgrade the engine to the Suzuki swift sport m16a engine, I've seen that lots of people wouldn't recommend anyone to do this mod but no-one have done this before and I'm anxious to see the power difference the m16a has 136hp compared to the Jimmy's 84hp, the problem that I'm seeing is that I can't fit a vvt engine into a non-vvt jimny and I would like your help on this.
I already have the Suzuki swift sport engine available and I changed the head to the normal m16a that I got from a Suzuki SX4 so I could install the jimny's original engine coils.
here are some solutions that I think would work
1. change the wiring look and ecu and get it from a vvt jimny
2. upgrade the whole ecu and wiring loom and install an after market on ex.(haltech ecu)

Check out the Megasquirt standalone VVT controller....it'd sort your dilemma out methinks?

VVT Controller here

Haltech Megasquirt and various others can take care of your needs but on a basic level the VVT controller would do just nice.

Hey,

Im also in dubai looking to make some more power for my Jimny, I got a 2017 model which is vvt and was looking to source a Swift M16a motor.

Any help or input would be great.

Firstly did you get it tuned and do you have any performance numbers or dynos to boast about?
