A friend of mine ran a set of Malatestas, I think they where kaimens, certainly a similar treat pattern.

It would depend on the usage of your Jimny, if it's going anywhere near the road, don't touch them with a barge pole, they are freaking impossible to balance, it will eternally vibrate wobble & roar as you drive along, if it's going to be running about muddy fields >90% of the time, they do work and are cheap.

As for whether or not they fit, 215/75r15 is generally the largest that people recommend without a lift, a 40mm spacer might be good for 215/80, unless you have a 06-12 facelift with the fat bumper. Then again, judging from your original size you have a JB23/Kei Jimny?

The issue with this tread pattern is that it's very square
Here's my Jimny on a 75mm lift

The tyre in pictured is a 195/80/16
I also run 225/75/16 KM2'S
I tried 205/80/16 special track
Below picture

That's a 205 next to a 225
When I test fitted the 205 it rubbed on arch/front body mount
Retreads are considerably larger than a new tyre.

I've just come away from Kaimans to Maxxis Bighorns and by joves it's so much nicer now.

The Kaimans are great in the mud but do give so much grip that you are more likely to break CV's.

I'd personally stick to normal MT's and not extreme ones.

Kaimans come up massive too.
