0W 20 is readily available and also on the approved list.

Just ordered some from there thanks. It seems Suzuki dealers take a relaxed view on which oil to use. Neither of my nearest dealers use the recommended 0w-16, one uses 0w-20 and the other uses 5w-30. Hope that doesn't cause warranty issues for anyone.

My 05' VVT thrives on Mobil 1, 0w40.

Not on the approved list but I have run it in multivalve engines since the 90's and never had a single oil related issue.

Another oil question, did not want to open a new thread.. I see 0w20 listed as suitable for M13AA in wiki, but the service manual lists only 5w30 oils as thinnest option. I have a chance to get a lot of 0w20 oil from my friend for free, but not sure if it's a good idea to use it? Too thin for an old engine?
