Insurance Options was created by Venter
Hi all, I need to renew my insurance this month and am looking at options...
The Jimny has been modified (relatively minorly at present, but will be more so as time goes on). Current;y it only 2" suspension lift, bigger tyres, recovery points, and plywood load bay in back instead of seats. It's also used as a work vehicle, so it won't be pay-and-play or standard recreational/commuter insurance I'm looking for.
All quotes I've had are pretty high, so maybe someone here has better experience of this than me

Mine is with adrian flux. fully comp is just over £300 with all mods declared, parked on roadside and over 10yrs no claims.
A tip is add on your mother/sister. having a female named driver on mine made it about £30 cheaper for some reason (even with them at a different address).

£300 isn't bad at all. Will give them a ring in the morning, hopefully the work vehicle thing doesn't add too much to that.
Thinking about it, another that might be an option might be National Farmers Union, as there must be a lot of modified commercial 4x4s on their books.

should have said.. i also have a 5000/year mile limit on it, as its not my daily driver (work van normally). i dont think it makes a huge difference if its higher. if your older than me (35) and have more no claims this will balance it out a bit.

All the quotes are coming in a bit higher than expected, must be because I've mentioned it's a work vehicle.
NFU = £586 (£200 excess)
Adrian Flux = £535 (think excess was also £200)
Brentacre = £450 (350 excess)
Got loads of no-claims, am not protecting it, and am 38 with a clean licence. On top of that the vehicle isn't highly modified, only recovery points, 2" lift, MT tyres and plywood rear cargo area.
The search continues...
