Got a WinchMax 13000lb winch with synthetic rope and wireless remotes off ebay, and the ORA mount. Grafted it all in last night but still need to sort out the electrics. Got a Durite 140A intelligent split charging relay sitting for it and will TIG up an alloy battery box for the passengers wing.. Winch is huge, it just fits in under the bumper and no more. Need to do some digging on alternators though, got a mate who owns a motor factors so I think i'll get him on the case for one that will do with the biggest output. Seen the posts on here about the baleno and land cruiser units as well so will give them a nosey

Most winches weigh around 35-40 kg's. Some more, if fitted with a steel rope.

But a good idea is to fit tougher springs and harder shocks.

Don't know what the price of that winch is. But get a 9500lb winch instead.
Preferably a Goodwinch TDS 9.5c. Much better winch in any way. Faster, better quality, better motor, better service.. Good range of upgrades like bigger motor, bigger drum, air-freespool. Take a look here www.goodwinch.com

About weight, don't worry about that.
I see you have the same suspension as I have. Are you shocks Rough Country N2.0 ?

Then you can easily fit a winchbumper and a winch :)
That suspension is made for extra weight on the Jimny.

I'm running a Warn 8274 winch with XP motor, powered by an Exide EK800 AGM battery. All with 60 mm2 cables.

Soon to get another similar battery.

The winch is installed, with some modifications, in an ORA HD winch bumper.

I like your setup ME1EOSE I am hoping to do a verry similar setup if I get a Christmas bonuses  fingers crossed. Haw have you found the winch? I have a friend with one on the front of his hilux, its been there fore years with no maintaines and it works every time for him. Was it a simple setup with the ORA tray? And if you was to do it all again would you change anything? Have you any other pictures of the install I would find it interesting.
