Next year is the 10th Anniversary of this forum.

I am looking for a suitable off-road venue to hold an event at.

I know you all have your favourite sites which you would recommend in an instant BUT many have restrictions etc. So can you think of a site which you can confirm......

1. Is privately bookable (i.e we are not just attending a Pay and Play day)
2. Permits non-roadworthy (i.e. SORN) vehicles.
3. Has catering
4. Is reasonably accessible from most parts of UK
5. Actually answers the phone or emails.
6. Can host over 30 vehicles with a decent amount of space to play.
7. Is suitable for standard road vehicles with beginner drivers

By you checking these it saves me chasing a site that turns out unsuitable, so only recommend sites which you know can do this.

My first suggestion is 4x4 WAC:

www.4x4-withoutaclub.co.uk/

Have attended their before and found it to be very well run. I appreciate it is a bit South for people though.

Second for Parkwood. Have been to a couple of events there that are invited only. On play days they want roadworthiness but not sure about private events. Good access from motorway too.

Parkwood do not allow SORN vehicles (unless the rules have changed)

Shame it needs to be central. One of the members of my offroad club has a farm with nice woodland, deep gullies etc.
We use it about twice a year for competitions. Some easy routes to drive around but some very tricky bits if you
go off looking. Trouble is its on the Kent/Sussex border.

Its the sort of site we need in the south east. If I ever win the lotto I would love to set one up. :)
