Dummy transfer case, which is a factory fitment in an "el-cheapo" 2WD-only Jimny, produced from 1998 to early 2000s.
The picture was taken from the front side of the vehicle. The gear box is shown in the upper center part of the picture, and the transfer case in the lower left part.
Notice the absence of the front propeller shaft, and the absence of a connection for it on the transfer case.
