Remembered this from years ago, so thought I'd google it and revive it!

forum.ih8mud.com/threads/burrito-box-for-fjz80.325970/

What do you reckon? Set off for a days greenlaning or visiting a pay'n'play site, before you go pop a couple of pasties / sausage rolls in... drive around for a few hours, and then stop and retrieve your piping hot grub from under the bonnet? Be nice with the winter coming?...

Thoughts?

Would it get hot enough in such a box on the exhaust manifold?

Better not go too rough, or you'd smash them to pieces!

From experience years ago, you don't need a great box.

Nice sized spud wrapped up in kitchen foil and wedged by the radiator. Cooked to a treat by the time we arrived at the coast or wherever.
You just need to check it now and again, you'll soon get to be a dab hand at it.

Make some toasted, filled sarnies, perhaps cheese?
Same again, into some foil, well sealed and stick that under the bonnet.
Mmmm! My mouth's watering just thinking of it.

Just make sure if using foil that the snap is well wrapped and sealed. And wedged or fastened in so it doesn't fall out the bottom of the engine bay.

Might knock up a pie box then!

How long for a nice hot chicken & mushroom pie then? ;)

Better pop a fork in the glove box too! :woohoo:
