What is this hole on the top of my G13BB Gearbox? was created by 73ta22
(It is NOT the breather). I pulled the engine out to find out why gearbox oil gets thrown all over my exhaust when I am on the highway. I assume this hole is the culprit. Does it do anything or can I just shove a plug in there?

Interesting.
The manuals don't mention it. I'd say plug it.
Here's a photo of a sammy gearbox. It has a similar hole, or atleast I assume it does, and it looks plugged to me.
