Generally speaking most manufactures stick them on with double sided foam tape so they should pull off with some persuation.might need to use a flat bladed screw driver with a rag wrapped on the end to protect the paint to get them going. There will be years of grime around the letters so get yourself some t cut and be prepared to spend along time cleaning!

ive been thinking about just hand painting mine gloss black.

As long as it is not rivetted on or just a popper fit I usually get some strong twine and see saw the twine behind it. Worst is when the motor has had a respray and you find a layer of paint missing when it is off. :blink:

Try a Hair Drier first, get it nice & warm should just peel off then clean up with meths/petrol, t-cut etc ...... ;)

Thanks, I was going to use heat especially now the weather is sh-one-t as I want it off without bending it in case I want to replace it (which never happens lol). ;)

Im 99% positive there just stuck on john. French cars are often riveted/poppered on but I dont think thats the case with the jimny. Keep us posred as i may do this to, think theyd look good black tho.
