Run the a/c every day you use the car, even if it's just for a minute or two, that will keep the compressor seals lubricated, and that will reduce the refrigerant leakage. Like you, I prefer to run with the windows down when I can, which, since I'm in the Caribbean, tends to be only the morning commute.

Bought it last week friday

ran it last week sunday on a dirt track, got it stuck and broke my muffler:)

changed my exhaust this weekend (first time ever changing an muffler on a car)

ordered a winch and a air compressor, ready for the next adventure
