Hello from Scotland, had my 59 Jimny for a few weeks now just sat in my garage waiting on the paint drying on my wheels so thought i would join the forum. Not planning on going off road but still a few things to do to make it look the part.First thing i did was remove the back seats so my dogs can get in also need the space for my fishing gear But might need a roof box al see how it goes.Like i said painting my wheels black but thinking on some spacers 30mm probably so my first ? Would this still be ok with the standard arch or would i need extentions?

Hi MrBlonde,

Welcome aboard.

Can't answer the arch extension question I'm afraid as I haven't put spacers on my Jim. Someone far more knowledgeable will be along soon.

I too don't go off road (well not much) and have also taken my rear seats out. The jim becomes a right little workhorse once they are gone.

2012 Jimny Black. Totally standard (except for rear seat removal mod).

Welcome Mr Blonde. You should be fine with the spacers and standard tyres. Off road when you flex the back suspension it would be a bit tighter but should still be ok. Mine has larger tyres but no spacers and the is still room (just) will add a photo to give you an idea. ;)

Was thinking on a terrain tyre probably not as much as yours as am not off road much just the odd track. My concern with the spacers was if the wheels comes out past the arch, not sure how much if any your allowed??

You can up size to 215/75/15 without problems on a standard set up. You would have to go pretty wide to have a problem MOT wise. :)
