I'm thinking of getting a new Jimny, as the 16 year old one probably won't last another 16 years, and I don't trust Suzuki not to mess up and produce some trendy 2wd nasty with a dodgy dual clutch gearbox (or worse, a CVT) and a ridiculously tiny turbocharged engine for the 2018 model.
If I do I'd whip the wheels and tyres off this one, and put the spare set back on, but will they go on a 2016 or later model?
I know the brake discs have a bigger hole in the middle for later cars- is this because the hub has a bigger ring on it?

I'd Imagine they'd fit, and probably be centred by the studs.

But if the hub is bigger on the later cars, the hole in the middle of the early wheels will be too small to fit them on over it ...........
Haven't actually gone and bought one anyhow, need to balance the finances first, and it would be definitely subject to the VIN on a "new" one starting with a "J".

We have a new Jimny with steel wheels. If someone measures the PCD and internal wheel center hole diameter of say a 2005 car I will check our 2016 car.

The hole in the middle of the early steel wheels is about* 108mm.
I'm fairly sure the stud pattern is the same.
* After clambering around the loft to find a spare wheel, I realised just how difficult it is to measure anything with verynear callipers
What I needed was the bore micrometer (in the garage) or some stiff card to draw round the hole with (downstairs) or a nice pair of dividers (in the garage....)
Does your VIN start with a J?

Yes 108mm seems similar but my micrometer was too wide as the tail hit the inside of the wheel as it was open so much.

I use my 1985 SJ original steel wheels with 195/80 toyo open country from 1997 when taking my Jimny for the MOT as the regular wheels is 235's.
They have been used for this purpose only for years now, on my own three suzukis and others as well..
Even used them for the approval of my lift kit..
All wheels fit.
